Welcome to a new type of WFTT episode. In our Event Horizon series we'll be looking at comic book events from the perspective of trade readers. We'll handpick events which we think have benefited or suffered at the hands of transformation into collected editions.

In this special premiere episode we're delving into The Sinestro Corp War, DC's cosmic epic. We talk in depth about Ion: The Dying Flame, The Sinestro Corps War Vol 1, The Sinestro Corps War Vol 2 and Tales of the Sinestro Corps.

So listen in to find out what we and our listeners thought of this event!

It's WFTT #11 or should that be Waiting For The Trade 101? As we provide our guide to Waiting For The Trade for Beginners.

We'd like to add artwork to the show in iTunes but I've got very little artistic ability.

In order to get one (I hope) we're going to run a little competition for the next few weeks.

Here are the rules:

- I believe iTunes art needs to be 300x300 pixels and a jpeg.
- Submit your logo to waitingforthetrade@gmail.com
- Feel free to ask me or Ang questions in PMs or in this thread
- Competition will run till...let's say 8th July

The prize is:

- The Trade(s) of your choice to the value of £20/$40!

Just wanted to let you know that we've submitted our RSS feed to iTunes to try and get listed so that people can subscribe "normally" rather than having to grab the individual episodes.

At the moment the good people of the iTunes store have sent an email acknowledging the submission but nothing else. I've no idea how long this process normally takes. Rest assured we're trying!

UPDATE: And as if by magic...

Welcome to the world's first "UK-based-husband-and-wife- comics-podcast-by-trade-paperback-readers-for trade-paperback-readers-with-hosts-called-Dave-&-Ang". Yep that's our niche and we're not letting go of it!

In this, our inaugural episode, we ramble incoherently on the following topics:

- Diminished expectations
- The resident Whovian & the resident New-Whovian
- UKTV Gold and the disappearing girlfriend
- Our piles...and we don't mean haemorrhoids
- Green Arrow: Year One
- Shooting puffins
- Dave, the cover-die whore
- Team Zero
- Garth Ennis's joy in violence
- Bunty in the Marvel Universe
- Giving Professor X a good kickin'
- Recurring themes
- DCU - why don't you love me?!
- Psycho-analysing Alfred Pennyworth
- Geoff Johns made Ang cry
- Sketch plans for the Bristol Con
- Pimping Fallen Heroes
- Dave's love for Ace (no, not the Bathound)
- The Kevin Smith story

You'll notice we don't actually ever finish a topic before veering off on a tangent!

If you like what you hear or would like to offer us money to never podcast again we can be contacted via email at ukdavew@gmail.com and on www.thecomicforums.com as Gargoyle and Girl Geek.
